Thesis Statement
Urban
sprawl
iare
when
cities
expand in a way
that’s
not controlled, and
it's
cause
a lot of issues in social, environmental, and economic aspects. The
challenges
what are associated with
urban
sprawl
is quite a few, and there
is
measures that could
help
to
fix
these issues.
Firstly, one of the big
challenges
is the increase in travel times for everyone. When
cities
spread out, people have to travel more far to get to work or school. This is not only tiring but
also
leads to
more
cars on the road, which makes
more
traffic jams and pollution. Another problem is that services like hospitals and schools can be
more harder
to get to because they are
too spread
out.
Also
,
urban
sprawl
takes up a lot of
space
which can harm the environment. It can lead to the loss of wildlife habitats and
more
use of land which should be for nature or farming. This
also
means that
more
areas are needed to be covered by roads and buildings, which harms the soil and water in those areas.
To address these
challenges
, there can be a few measures to take. Governments can plan better on how
cities
should grow by making strict rules on where and how much can be built.
Also
, improving public transport can
help
reduce the need for everyone to use cars, which would
help
with the traffic and pollution problem. Building
more
facilities like schools and hospitals closer to where people live can
also
help
so that they
don't
have to travel too far.
In conclusion,
urban
sprawl
is a big problem with many
challenges
but
there are ways to handle it if proper planning and measures are taken to control how
cities
expand.
