The recent advancement in the technology has demanded our teaching methodology to change but due to
technological
gap between different
generations
all
teachers
cannot keep up and find hard to
use
online
teaching
platforms
which significantly affect the quality of lessons provided.
The major problems the teacher
are facing is the use of new technology tools
like digital boards and virtual meet platforms
which totally differs
from the traditional chalk and board method. Though there are challenges, still hands-on training on using
those platforms
before delivering
the instructions could possilby
make the teacher
's life easier.Since the educational sector has
exceled
with the introduction of new
online
platforms
with advanced AI
tools
, it is harder for
teacher
to get familiar with them as the technology they have been
using
and what is currently introduced are
totally
different.
The online
platform
requires the teacher
to be the host and manage the content they deliver
all manually. For example, the teacher
have
to digitally take the attendance records, they have to prepare the content they deliver
in digital format
which additionally requires new tools
like powerpoint
to get used
to. Also, online
platforms
introduce certain
gap between the teacher
and the students
which ultimately makes harder for the teacher
to interact with students
and makesure
if the instruction they deliver
are
properly understood by the students
.Though the
teachers
have faced a lot of challenges, teachers
can still learn to use
those platforms
by proper hands on
training by the professionals. We know
teachers
are
students
in a
way
so training based on
using
the
platform
, preparing the digital content like slides and
hands on
experience on
using
tools
digital board and pen could possibly assist
teacher
to achieve better result in quality of instruction
delivered
.
So teacher
should be trained in similar
environment before delivering
actual lessons to the students
could help them and the students
in better way of learning.
