Thesis Statement
Some
people
think that it is important to have a
single
language
as an international official
language
and others believe that it will make it difficult to identify
countries
and cause a
loss
of
culture
. The
language
is a tool of
communication
and a representing factor of one
country
's
culture
. Therefore,
its
crucial to make the
communication
easier, so that
people
can have access to understanding each other and for stating their views. On the other hand, the traditions and
cultures
must
to
kept
, so that
every
country
can differentiate themselves from others and be special for that.
To begin with, the
satement
of having a
single
language
as an international official
language
can be a good idea. My argument for that is that it would be helpful in terms of maintaining a
communication
with
people
from all over the world. In addition to this, it can help to improve relationships between
countries
and maintaining peace by that. Moreover, it can help to improve the equality of
people
, as
people
would not fight or have any debates whether whose
culture
is better and so on.
On the other hand, the idea of having a
single
language
can lead to the
loss
of
culture
and to the
loss
of identity. Additionally, in the long run, this one
language
policy can emerge a nationalism, as
people
would start to complain about the
loss
of their cultural background and their mother
language
as well.
Overall, in my opinion, the idea of having a
single
language
is good in terms of
communication
and maintaining
a friendly relationships
with
countries
. However, the cultural identity is
very important
and the
loss
of that due to the one
language
policy can lead to the disappearance of cultural importance and the unique image of
countries
.
