Thesis Statement
economic
development
of a country
requires necessary infrastructure
estbalishement
to improve the connection between cities and remote areas to ensure prosperity. Even though this development
require
significant funding, it has
diverse advantage as people
can avail multiple facilities in less time. However
, the major disadvantage remains to protect the natural resources and social dimensions
as infrastructure
may adversely affect them.On one hand,
infrastructure
build-ups is a major indicator for any country
's development
as it will widen opportunity and scopes for people
to connect with far-distant facilities. Additionally, these roads or bridges reduce their mobility time and help to grow exponentially with higher accessible services. As a result, they can contribute far more in
the economic
growth
than ever before. For example: one of the major indicators behind developed nations growth
is their connectivity, which is a primary hurdle in the countries
like Bangladesh. Hence, even though infrastructure
development
has challenges, to ensure optimum growth
, this is a must for a country
.However
, the flip side of the development
is often the huge funding as well as destruction to the nature and society. Financial resources may not always be available from the government to develop roads, bridges and as a result, many establishment
remain stranded. In addition, these build-outs may grab lands or vulnerable people
, destroy forest or rivers and pollute the biodiversity. Furthermore, it may compel people
to migrate and lose their social identity and culture; a big intangible loss to the socio-environmental aspect. For example: the Karnaphuli Hydro Power forced millions of indigenous community the Kaptai lake of Bangladesh, whose property and resources were washed away by the infrastrcuture
development
.In conclusion,
economic
development
require
infrastructure
to attain
growth
and support the citizen to prosper,
however
, the financial crisis for these establishments and the diverse natural loss and social identify may reduce the benefits of this
economic
prosperity to
many level
.
