Thesis Statement
Nowadays, governments of several
countries
have been providing a large amount of state budgets to advertise their
national
identity in various forms. In my view, devoting considerable resources to maintaining culture brings both benefits and drawbacks to the nation, and I will present it in this essay.
On the one hand, the government invests large budgets in mass media and regularly organizes large-scale exhibitions to share
national
traditions and culture with global audiences, and this brings a lot of benefits to their
country
. For example, successful promotion has stimulated tourism demand, increasing economic development and creating employment opportunities for local people. Furthermore, this phenomenon
not only creates international awareness about that
country
but also enhances
the
national
pride of their people when their
country
's reputation is recognized in the international forum.
On the other hand, disadvantages are also created when a
country
focuses too much on cultural promotion.
All in all, although maintaining
national
culture plays a vital role, there needs to be a balance in the amount of resources the government will use, ensuring equitable economic and social development.
