Thesis Statement
It is widely known that a
country
's development
start
with its infrastructure. Good infrastructures would significantly improve people's life, for examples our way of living, the ease of doing things, safety reasons, which leads to enhancing economic growth to a
country
.
From a long time ago there
has
been so many developing
countries
that
lacks
of facilities, especially in Asia such as Indonesia and India. In this case,
let's
talk about Indonesia; the
country
that I live in. Indonesia is most
famous
for its diverse cultures, delicious cuisines, and beautiful natural beauty.
Its
also famous for its geographical location, with nearly 17.000 islands in total. However, the infrastructures have not been fully covered in all of the
cities
. From my perspective, Indonesia is Java-centric, which means Java island is being the center of every industry. The center of commerce, business, education, entertainment, and other things, leaving many islands outside Java struggle to only have decent roads. As a result, the social gap between these
cities
is
inevitable
which leads to no economic growth.
In my opinion, the government should work hand in hand to combat this rising issue. Us, citizens have diligently paid high amount of taxes in order to get good life insurance, enough pension, and better amenities in the
city
we live. Might as well do the best for our money, instead of using it for higher level
purpose
only. All of the government's
staffs
should be responsible
to
taking care of roads,
fix
any broken public transportation, make development fully covering all of the
cities
in Indonesia.
I guess it is also nice if the government could decrease people's ability to buy car more than 2 at least for 1 family, so they will use public transportations more often and traffic could eventually
reduced
in the near future.
