I agree,
youth
educational programs are of extreme importance to the prevention of youth
crime. However, other factors
can come into play when it pertains to such a subject, such as the lack of stability in the home, as well as potential abuse and other socio-economic factors
. To elaborate further, a young adolescent's environmnet
is determental
to their overall behavior
, a child
could experience acts of abuse or agression
through one of his parents and might seek to replicate it outside of the home. Hence, it is in this regard that parents should attend educational courses on the effects of their parenting methods on their children
. Another
factor
that should be taken into account is the
child
's socio-economic background, if a
child
comes from an under-privileged background they are more
likey
to resort to criminal activity as a result of the social disparity which she
have
been subjected to.
Overall, youth
crime can be prevented by applying a multi-faceted approach, which includes crime prevention educational programs for both the youth
and their parents while also taking into consideration
socio-economic factors
which might lead to potential criminal activity.
