Thesis Statement
come
a long way with the invention of efficient technology to transport ourselves from place to place. In the past, it would be unthinkable that a person would be able to be in another country, thousands of miles away, in mere hours instead of the months it would normally take. This advance in transportation methods comes
with drawbacks
such as the problems
that come
with deforestation and the use of resources. One of the
problems
is the effect of clearing natural habitats to build roads for easier access. Deforestation is the number one cause of creatures losing their homes and foraging areas. It is a rising issue that environmentalists have raised multiple times and this ongoing destruction poses a danger to the survival of some endangered species of animals. Furthermore, the clearing of land increases the occurence
of soil erosion and hence more landslides will happen. This poses a danger to humans and creatures alike. This can be combatted by government bodies placing restrictions on the building of new roads in areas where there will be massive changes to the natural ecosystem. These same agencies can also enforce the safe relocation of native animals if any construction is inevitable.Missing Linking Devices
problem
that comes
to mind is the excessive uptake of natural resources when powering these forms of modern transportation. Our earth has a finite supply of this and the future generation has to be taken into account. The up-and-coming
solar powered
and hydro powered
gadgets could be a solution to this problem
. Many countries are adopting these 'green' initiatives to avoid running out of fuel sources. In conclusion, paving our way to the future of transport should have the aim to
have
as little impact as possible to
the environment. This can be done by considering more sustainable modes of transport and advocating for environmental protection by governmental organisations.
