Thesis Statement
Fairness between parties in criminal cases are extremely complex for the court system. It is the most important thing to balance both of them to
get
the integrity and social justice. I strongly agree with that current law system which they have the
right
to speak their
rights
.
Offenders
may be being caught of an act of criminal. They are sentenced to jail or pay some fine. In our modern world,
offenders
can seek law assistance from their
lawyers
. It may
seems
strange for people why do
offenders
get
a
lawyers
? Do they want to prove themselves as not guilty in the court? The answer is no
because
they hire the
lawyers
to
get
their
rights
. For instance, in 2012 there was a man that he was allegedly kicked the woman. He acknowledged that he was attacking the woman in the gas station. But later on, he went to his
lawyers
that he
didn't
intend to attack or steal anything that the
victim
claimed. He brought his
lawyers
and there was a recording that he only punched at her face. From the
recording
he
didn't
started
the conflict. He was
getting
mad
because
the woman
stractch
his car. The
judges
were surprised by this and the
judges
still sent him to prison
but
the duration was cut.
In other hand, the
victims
can sue or ask for a compensation of the damages. They may speak to the
judges
that in its lawsuit they lost some of their money or properties. This proves that the
victims
should be heard of their
rights
being stolen from the
offenders
. For example, a man asked the
judges
what was the potential damage from the criminal act. They could
get
a compensation.
Overall, criminal justice system in our modern world is
getting
better than before
because
the
victims
and the
offenders
have the same
rights
in the
court room
. The
offenders
may seek better justice even they were criminals and the
victims
could have the compensation.
