Thesis Statement
Deforestation is a dynamic threat to the environment globally. It has caused
a significant harm
to the biodiversity and climate, creating dangerous
consequences to
the society. Lately, numerous strategies have been implemented to reduce the damage to the ecosystem. This discussion will delve into both the repercussions and mitigation ways to minimize deforestation.
One of the most pressing issues, that affects
biodiversity
is
land
erosion. The flora plays a very crucial role in protecting the
land
, so if there is increased elimination of trees and
plants
it could lead to
land
degradation. Resulting, in poor soil and water minerals. Due to that rivers,
plants
and animals that survive on
land
and water may fall short of the necessary nutrients for them to survive. This can create problems like hunger, drought or
dieseases
. Additionally, if the flora is threatened or reduced it can impose
life threatening
issues to human beings, for
example
there will be less
oxgyen
produced for human consumption and more carbon dioxide realised. This can create an
inbalance
between the respiratory system of people and
plants
.
Moreover, forest depletion causes climate
change
, this can have a huge influence on sudden temperature, humidity and precipitation
changes
. The sudden
change
on
weather can impact the growth of seasonal
plants
that might not favour the
changes
.
Furthermore, increased rainfall can cause floods, which can affect the
countries
economy, with relocating people, new housing and
rebulding
infrastructures.
To mitigate these issues, the government can raise awareness by enforcing policies to the public like National Tree Planting days, to increase
forest
population. In addition, promoting sustainable practices that
avoids
excess damage to the
environment
like advanced agricultural methods or better mining practices. Local authorities can assist by monitoring and address illegal mining.
In conclusion, it is essential for the community to be aware of the consequences that
comes
with deforestation and ways to
ellimanate
it.
