Children
are affected greatly by their surroundings from a very early age. This, in return, creates the notion that children
can veer away from criminal activities if they are sufficiently taken care of in a stable family environment. Such a notion, in my opinion, is of great truth and is evidently so. The fact that children
are molded
by their surroundings, both in a positive or negative way, compounds massively to their way of socializing, reacting, and their personality. For example: if a child
is born in an impoverished and dilapidated state of living, the child
is more prone to stealing to meet their basic necessities. Another example is: if a child
is abused relatively often, the said child
is more prone to escaping their homes and engage in unlawful behaviour. Hence, it is without a doubt that a stable family environment can prevent children
from engaging in criminal activities.
