This table illustrates different crime rates in US cities from 2015 to 2020 according to four different cities New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Houston.
Overall, crime rates in New York, Los Angeles, and Houston showed a consistent upward trend, while Chicago's crime rates fluctuated slightly but remained high relative to the other cities.
New York experienced the most significant rise in crime rate, starting at 5.2% in 2015 and climbed to 6.5% in 2020 an increase of 1.3 percentage points. Los Angeles and Houston also saw significant increases from 6.5% and 7.3% in 2015, then
rises up
to 7.3% and 7.6%.
Chicago had the highest percentage of crime rate in 2015 starts at 8.1%
but
it was not increasing like other cities it drops slightly also increases slowly, after 5 years Chicago's crime rate has
reach
a peak of 8.5%
In summary, Chicago consistently maintained the highest crime rate, and New York had the largest amount of increase including other cities. Most cities exhibited upward trends, with some year-to-year variations, particularly in Houston and Chicago.
