The table illustrates data on crime rates in various countries from 2010 to 2020. It is evident that whereas some countries experience a trend of decline, the others saw a corresponding incline.
To begin, the United States(from 7.5% to 6.7%) had the biggest
decrease of
crime rate with 0.8% from 2010 to 2020. A steady rate of decline is exhibited from each 2 years with an average of around 0.15% drop. In comparison, Canada and Australia had a similar reduction
of
crime rate of 0.5%, with a 0.3% difference relative to the United States, from 2010 to 2020. However, whilst the United States showed a gradual drop, Canada had a minor surge of 0.1% from 2012 to 2014.
Although, while the other three countries experienced a reduction, the opposite was true with the United Kingdom and Germany. Both country shared the same amount of percentage growth of 0.5%, Germany rising from 3% to 3.5% and the United Kingdom from 4% to 4.5%.
