The line chart illustrates the percentage of energy consumption patterns in New York, Tokyo, London and Sydney between 2005 and 2019.
Overall, energy consumption among three major cities namely New York, Tokyo and Sydney increased steadily.
London`s
household had the second to the lowest energy consumption but fell dramatically over the decade.
In New York, the percentage of households with energy consumption started at around 1,000% in 2005. This figure increased steadily each year, reaching approximately 1,300% by 2019,
maintining
its lead over the other cities. Similarly, Tokyo saw significant growth. In 2005, around 900% of Japanese households had consumed most of the electricity, and this figure rose consistently, reaching close to 1,200% by the end of the period.
Sydney where had the lowest energy consumption in 2005 by approximately 700% , it also experienced consistent growth followed a similar trend to Tokyo and New York and reaching a peak of approximately 1000% in 2019. While London began at 800% in 2005 and this gradually decreased to around 680% in the
enrgy
used by Americans.
