The given line chart is a visualization of the average monthly income levels in Nigeria, Kenya, and South Africa juxtaposed with that of Italy.
At a glimpse, we can see the stark difference of more than 1,000 units between Italy's average monthly income and that of the three African countries. However, as Italy's income levels continue to grow, Nigeria, Kenya, and South Africa manage to follow
suit
although at a substantially smaller rate.
One notable trend that can be observed is in South
Africa
where a consistent increase of 50 units every year since the beginning of the surveyed period is shown. A similar pattern can also be seen in
Kenya
as the country steadily grows in average monthly income by 20 units annually. However, this is no match for
Italy
who is already established as the highest income earner among the countries while simultaneously growing the fastest, evidenced by a 100-unit improvement every year.
With that said, some decline is observed in Nigeria during 2015 when it dropped to 580 units from 600 in the previous year, before eventually recovering with an increase of 40 units in the year that followed.
