The bar chart illustrates the changes in
cultural
participation rates among five age groups in Canada from 2015 to 2020. The age groups are 15-24, 25-34, 35-44, 45-54, and 55+.Overall,
cultural
participation increased for all age groups between 2015 and 2020, with the younger age groups showing the highest participation rates in both years. The most noticeable change occurred in the 15-24 age group, which had a significant increase in participation, rising from around 55% in 2015 to about 65% in 2020.The 25-34 and 35-44 age groups also saw growth, with the 25-34 group increasing from approximately 50% to just over 55%, and the 35-44 group from 45% to about 52%. The 45-54 age group experienced a smaller rise, going from about 45% to 50%. The oldest group, 55+, had the lowest participation rates in both years but still showed an increase, moving from around 40% in 2015 to 45% in 2020.
In summary, younger age groups consistently had higher
cultural
participation, and all groups showed growth from 2015 to 2020, with the largest rise observed in the 15-24 age group. This suggests an overall positive trend in cultural
involvement across all ages in Canada.
