The bar chart illustrates the average scale of air pollution across four metropolitan cities around the world (New York, Beijing, London, and Delhi). Units are measured in micrograms per cubic meter.
Overall, It is evident that pollution
measurments
in the eastern urban areas are higher compared to western ones. To
ellaborate
, Delhi has always had the highest number of
polutants
in the air, with Beijing following with lower numbers. While numbers are significantly lower in London and New York.
The
indian
capital had
most
polluted air in 2015 with
measurments
of approximately 90 micrograms per cubic meter, that is before it peaked in 2017 at around 95, then it continued to decrease
till
2020. While
beijing
ranked the second most polluted, it continued to decline constantly from above 80 in 2015 to below 70 micrograms

In contrast, The measured scores of the western cities has been on the lower end of the chart. The pollution level in the capital of the UK has fluctuated over the given years around the score of 20 micrograms. Similarly, New York has gone from just over 10 in 2015 to about 18 micrograms in 2020.
