The bar chart given illustrates the annual temperature increase in five regions (North America, South America, Europe, Africa, and Asia) in the period between 2000 and 2020.
Overall, Africa recorded the
highest
temperature rise in the three periods, while South America had
the the
least increase among all the regions. The
second
highest
temperature increase was found in North America, followed by Europe, then Asia.
Comparing the temperature rise in the three periods (2000, 2010, and 2020), it is clearly noticed that 2000
expereinced
the least temperature increase, with South America and Africa recording the minimum and maximum annual increase, respectively. In 2010, the temperature rise was
higher
, particularly, in North America, Asia and Africa while South America and Europe had no much difference. In 2020, the variation in the temperature was significant in all the regions. Africa had the
highest
temperature rise, followed by North America, then Europe and Asia. South America had the lowest temperature increase. The temperature increase could be due to pollution and so thermal combustion increase.
